Distner and Finiture: Technology and Innovation for a New Generation of Finishing Solutions

For over 60 years, Distner has represented a benchmark for Made in Germany excellence in the window and door industry. Since 1964, the company has combined traditional craftsmanship, innovative technologies and meticulous attention to detail to manufacture windows, doors and architectural solutions designed to stand the test of time. Entirely based in Germany, its production reflects a strong commitment to quality, reliability and local expertise, offering a wide range of PVC, wood-aluminium and aluminium windows and doors, as well as customised solutions for contemporary architecture.

In this context of exceptionally high quality standards, we are delighted to present the new window finishing system designed and manufactured by Finiture, recently installed to support advanced, flexible and efficient production.

The line is built around a Power&Free overhead conveyor featuring 45 bars, each 5 metres long, together with two automatic lifters equipped with roller conveyors, designed to facilitate the loading and unloading of large window frames while ensuring operator safety and ergonomics.

At the technological heart of the system are two anthropomorphic painting robots, equipped with automatic colour change and nozzle cleaning systems, operating over a large working area (5000 × 3000 mm) inside dedicated air recirculation spray booths.

Product application is handled by two vertical flow coating systems, Superjet and Superjet Plus, designed to ensure uniform treatment, optimise coating consumption and recover excess product. These are supported by two high-pressure humidification systems to maintain optimal process conditions.

The finishing cycle is completed by two ventilated drying tunnels for water-based coatings, equipped with the LDP system for moisture removal and reduced drying times, a water clarifier for the sustainable treatment of washing water, and the Supervisor control system, which enables integrated monitoring and management of the entire line.
