Quality means prestige

Fail Group, a company that operates in the window and door sector, merges and regenerates the thirty-year activity of the companies Fail spa and Fail Meccanica srl. The company specializes in the production of wooden, aluminium, steel and PVC frames, both for interiors and exteriors.

Production takes place within a 10,000 square meter factory and makes use of new cutting-edge machinery and trained and specialized technical personnel which represents one of its strong points, together with the high quality of the raw materials used and the attention to customer needs.

Their fixtures, their quality and their prestige are the result of constant research and design activity that aims to innovate production processes and products. Consequently, the company is equipped with highly automated machinery and integration of the production phases.

And this is where Finiture comes into play. We were contacted with the request for a window assembly line.

Starting from the customer's needs, we supplied a line consisting of an FCM30 clip fixing machine, a BVC30 sash-frame glazing and testing bench and an MV300 manipulator.

The FCM30 is designed for manually fixing clips, and the version created for FAIL allows the management of 2 clips and is equipped with a telescopic work surface to also allow you to work on assembled doors and frames. The basic equipment of the machine includes a pneumatic locking system, a self-powered screwdriver with tilting screw feeder, a semi-automatic blister loading system for the clips and a manually moved screwing unit.

Next, the BVC30 is equipped with a vertically sliding work surface by means of a pneumatic actuator, the possibility of lifting the work surface, a double manually sliding shoulder equipped with a double pneumatic vice, and a row of idle steel rollers at the base to facilitate the movement of the window placed on the bench.

To top it all off, one of the flagship products of our line, the MV300: the manipulator is fixed to the floor via its supporting column, and is equipped with a lever lifting system using a pneumatic actuator, a primary parallelogram arm for lifting, a central joint and a gripping tool equipped with a tilting movement (0-90°) via double pneumatic actuator and continuous rotation system via pneumatic gear motor.

The gripping system is made up of 4 suction cups with manually adjustable position. When necessary, 2 of the 4 suction cups can be excluded thanks to a double vacuum circuit, which can be operated using a manual selector.

The movement of the tool and the vertical lifting takes place using joystick levers, grip and release controls operated by a double button and a grip indicator activated by the vacuum switch.

The pneumatic pressure enhancement system is part of the machine: the system doubles the input pressure (bar), to increase the efficiency of the manipulator when the pneumatic system does not guarantee sufficient input pressure for the correct functioning of the machine.

Where possible, i.e. on the clip fixing machine and on the glass manipulator, an Industry 4.0 integration system has been provided, to allow the machines to exchange data relating to processing with the customer's IT system via Wi-Fi network, as well as to interface with the customer's management system. It is also possible to obtain a report containing various information relating to the operation of the machine.
