Ligna 2019

How did it go

More than a week after LIGNA 2019: time to draw conclusions. The edition, with an increasingly international profile, has boasted record numbers: more than 130,000 m² of net area, over 1500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries. The main focus: innovation and integrated management of production processes. Great space has been given to live demonstrations, IoT platforms and research projects. The surface treatment and finishing sector is no exception: digitization and automation are a great opportunity to identify new business models, as well as fostering greater energy efficiency and optimizing the use of resources.

Significant as usual, the presence of exhibitors from the Bel Paese, second in number only to Germany. Finiture, present with its booth of over 130 m² in Hall 17, was able to meet customers and requests from all over the world, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, India, South Africa, Canada, China, Slovenia, Ukraine, Poland. From windows (the company's core business), to ships, from doors to baseball bats, from machines to complete lines, the requests’ variety was more than ever symptomatic of an increasing orientation towards customization. And it is precisely in this direction that Finiture aims to offer all its experience, as well as its agility and flexibility in taking charge of the project, in order to offer neither more nor less than what the customer really needs.

A look at the Italian market

As for the market trend, according to data released by the Acimall Studies Office http://www.acimall.com/news/1731/indagine-acimall-sugli-ordini-primo-trimestre-2019, after the great growth recorded in 2017 and consolidated in 2018, the first quarter of 2019 recorded a general decline in the survey of orders for woodworking machines and tools. The trend, to be considered physiological, would still be indicative of the need for a boost on the domestic front. Contrary to orders, the turnover data are oriented, up 10.3%.

In conclusion

Ligna 2019 was a particularly intense edition for Finiture, also thanks to the recent acquisition of the Handling & Assembling Division (internal art) designed by Tambone, which involved the integration of a complex system of machines for the assembly, handling and logistics of the hardware . Work is continuing at full speed, waiting for the next fair events.

A sincere thanks goes to all the people who collaborated in the success of the event and to all those who visited the Finiture stand.
